Hey there HockeyBuzzards!

I'm introducing a new attraction for the summer, maybe every weekend, where I post a funny NHL-themed picture for the HB community to take some amusement in, comment on and have a little fun with. It's just a way you can all have a few laughs amidst all the bantering about trades and drafts and free agent signings. Some of these rumour blogs can get a little heated at times, so here's my attempt to brighten the mood a little. Seeing as I'm a Leaf blogger, the inaugural installment of Phenom's Phunny Photos will be Leaf-themed.

The Ignoramic Duo - Burkeman and Nonin!

Toronto City’s Top Dog and his trusty sidekick are working feverishly day and night to protect the 'centre of the hockey universe' against such formidable foes as The Riddler (Ilya Bryzgalov), The Choker (anybody on San Jose) and The Penguin(s) while Commissioner Gordon…..um, I mean Bettman, hides within the walls of his high rise in New York. The city has been in turmoil for the last several years, but their tireless efforts to bring respect and success back will certainly be rewarded (we hope) beginning June 22nd, 2012 when they bring in their newest recruit (and perhaps one or two other more-established superheroes) to join the crusade and fight the good fight for the loyal citizens of Leaf Nation…...
