Ready for Hockey Season

A couple of weeks ago, I sat down one Sunday afternoon and turned on NBC. I was really, really hoping to find hockey on TV. I knew there was no way I was going to see hockey on TV during August, but a girl can hope, can't she?
I blame this state of affairs entirely on <a href="http://paulnich.blogspot.com">my husband</a>.
A few years ago I was blissfully ignorant of hockey. Any knowledge I had of the sport I got from watching episodes of MacGyver.
Then hubby took me to a pre-season game. Then he got a season ticket pack. And now I am hooked.
During one of the games last season, I started screaming, "Get 'em!" at Jordin Tootoo as two of the opposing team's players ganged up on him. I think it was then that <a href="http://paulnich.blogspot....m">Paul</a> knew I had been converted.
For me, the realization that I had evolved into a hockey fan came after the Preds were out of the playoffs.....I was so depressed. I moped around for weeks, wishing my team were still playing.
I feel a lot better now, though. Geared up for the new season. Ready to see my team hit the ice.
So...when does training camp start?
