Just something short, since i'm in the lab right now supposedly doing homework/research, but playoff hockey makes me much too excited to think about things like that right now.

First off - Markus Naslund played his best game of the season so far. No question. I hope he can keep this up.

Kevin Bieksa - 54+ minutes and 4 penalties. This guy is amazing. I expect a Norris trophy 5 years down the road.

Kes looked great back on the PK.

Jany-B showed up tonight big time.

Did anyone see Cooke miss his hit on Sydor and run right into Bulis? Possibly my favourite moment of the entire game. You might say i don't like Bulis all that much.

I have no idea how Luongo was still standing after the third period, let alone 4 overtimes. This guy is ridiculous. If i'm the Stars i'm worried about scoring more than two goals in a game again in the rest of this series.

Any new predictions on how many games this will go to?

You cite Kevin Bieksa's penalties as if they were a good thing. They were terrible penalties, that nearly cost the Canucks the game.Bieksa is awesome though, he settled down in the 3rd to 7th periods.

he almost got another two when he slammed the door on the way into the box one time too. Be careful Bieksa! Tone the temper down.

I thought that the canucks were outplayed the entire game and were lucky to win, thier first goal was a total fluke and dallas hit the iron a few times after that.Having said that though, they don't ask how you won. Good win for the canuks but they will have to play way better to win the series. As for Bieksa he was very fortunate not to bury his team with all those stupid penalties, he is a very good physical defenseman but was exposed for the lead foot that he is, the guy is way too slow to ever be a norris tophy winner. Much props to Lou he is the real deal, there is no doubt in my mind that this series is going down to the wire.

for the regular game the canucks were definitely outplayed for the most part, however, in all of the overtimes, the shots were only 36-31 Dallas. Yeah, the Canucks got some lucky bounces, but Lui also let in two weak goals that he won't let in again now that the jitters are gone.I didn't mean that Bieksa's penalties were a good thing, what i was trying to say was that he had 54 minutes AND 4 penalties, so he could have played 57 minutes even, had he not taken those penalties and stayed on the ice to finish his shifts.

Preach on Vitamin...Stars WAYYYYYYYYYYY out played the Canucks and on top of the fact they got 2 fluky goals! Game 2 will be a total domination with Stars heading back to Texas 1-1. Check out my next blog for more!
