Well, die-hard Dems that are also hockey fans will now have a tough choice. Gov. Palin is a self-proclaimed hockey mom.
Presumably, all the hockey folk on this list are one-issue voters (hockey) and are clamoring to vote for a ticket where at least one of the nominees actually knows what hockey is.

If anybody votes for her just because her kid plays hockey, give me your address so I can send the mob after you.
Voting for her just because she's a woman (which I suspect many people will do - hopefully not enough to have an impact) is bad enough. Voting for her just because she's a hockey mom? People who do that simply should not be allowed to vote.

OK McCain says obama has no experience, then he goes and grabs a former mayor turned governer of a land no one sees and turns her into his vp. He himself said the person behind him should be able to lead and then he goes and grabs a lady thats younger than obama and never even really done anything. Hockey mom yes, VP NO! Uh, predfan, you seem just a tad hypocritical when you post "Stick to hockey" then follow it with if the left can do this or whatever else. Both candidates suck as far as I am concerned, and their VP choices leave a lot to be desired.
The fact that McCain appointed a woman so underwhelming qualified - and one which stands directly in contradiction of a woman's true values - is actually insulting to the gender as it assumes American women are going to vote with strictly with their vaginas. Predfan - you're pathetic. If anything, McCain's 27 years in Washington as opposed to Obama's none, is a fact that favours Obama. Its time for change and if this country fails to fall through, for the first time I will truly be ashamed to be American and I will seriously consider moving.

Please don't associate that brainless idiotic woman with hockey. She is in no way a hockey mom because I honestly wouldn't consider her a mom. No mother should force their child to through away her chance at a life to have a baby she can't handle and force her to mary the guy who knocked her up as a means to elevate her political status. Bringing an unwanted child into a loveless marriage should be considered criminal not an exercise of good morals. This woman openly opposes sex-ed even though her own daughter can't figure out how to use a condom. We are human being first and hockey fans second, and human beings don't put sick people like Sarah Palin in a position of power.
Not only is she a hockey mom, she is well qualified to be Vice President or even President, if necessary, and that's what matters most.
