As much as i would love to see the Sabres win the cup this year, it wont happen. The Sabres are still a very young team, so give them a couple a years then we might be able to talk about them winning the cup. Don't get me wrong, i would love to see the Sabres win the cup this year. But i am not biased, so i know that it wont happen for at least a couple more years.
Thanks for the comment. I hear what you are saying but this Sabres team isn't really as young as people think. Vanek, Roy, Pominville and others are all hitting their prime. We have Afinogenov, Kotalik, Connolly, and Spacek all playing in contract years. We have some new grit and veteran leadership in Craig Rivet. I don't know if I really think they will win the cup this year but don't count them out just yet.
