11-9-3 25pts H(7-5-1) A(4-4-2)
Week 7. Riding a 5 game slump coming into the week who would have thought we could win 2 out of 3 from Boston, Pittsburgh, & Montreal. 2-1 this week, and they looked a lot better as of late. We gave up 8 goals and scored 9. We pick up 4 points in the standings and sit at 9th place in the East, still out of the playoffs but only by 1 point.
According to HB fantasy point production:
1st star: Ryan Miller 42 pts
2nd star: Thomas Vanek 38 pts
3rd star: Derek Roy 30 pts
Underachievers of the week.
Paille -3 pts
Rivet -3 pts
Thomas Vanek is trying to lead this team back out of their slump. 3 more goals this week puts him at 18G in 23GP. He leads the league in goals by 2. He also leads the Sabres in points with 23 which puts him up to 19th best in the league.. Miller looked much better this week making some key saves at opportune times.. He is now 19th in GAA and 22nd in Sv%. Hopefully he is back on an upswing and can start putting some solid efforts together to backstop this team. These 2 wins over good teams should give a boost to their confidence and get them going again.
Monday vs Nashville(11-10-2)24pts(6-7-1 on the road)
Thursday @ Florida(9-11-3)21pts(5-3-2 at home)
Saturday @ Tampa Bay(6-10-7)19pts(3-4-5 at home)

Week 7 was the beginning of a good turnaround. Need to keep at it this week and put some more in the win column.
