Oilers Crush Preds, Win 6 to 1

The Preds decided not to show up and the Oilers took it to them scoring 6 goals, en route to a 6 to 1 win. This game spoiled Colin Wilson's debut for the Preds, who finished with a minus 1 with 1 SOG. Again, we still haven't seen a goal scored in regulation/OT from any other line than the top line.

Notables:

Klein/Hammer (F) - This pair has struggled. They where a combined minus -7. Trotz may have to break up Suter/Weber to balance this out. Bad decisions on when to pinch by this pair led to multiple odd man rush goals.

Top Line (C) - When most everybody ended up a day on the minus side for the Preds, they ended up with a plus 2 and Arnott had the only goal.

Ward/Santorelli (D-) - Both struggled. Ward looks to be very rusty after coming back from his groin problem. Santorelli just looks outmatched. It may be time to send him back to the AHL and perhaps give another kid a shot. It just not working out for him.

Wilson (C) - Really not much to speak of here. He did draw a penalty and showed his strength along the boards. Not much offensively tonight. He did only end up with a minus 1 and played over 16 minutes.

Rinne (D) - I probably could have given him a C minus since he was hung out to dry by poor defense. Struggled with the rest of the team. Only saved 5 of 9 shots on goal.

The Preds will need to forget about this one quickly and get ready to go back to Dallas Wednesday night.
