"Nashville Predators"
The Predators played another really good defensive game. They blocked many of the Stars shots and out shot the Stars 33 to 29. The forwards did a good job of back checking to limit second chances by the Stars. On offense the Preds finally got another goal from Steve Sullivan and P. Hornqvist. The Preds offense had many chances and easily could have had 1 or 2 more goals.

Game Notables:

S. Weber (A) - Huge blast on the PP to tie the game at 1 to 1. Good defensivly. Leads the team in goals with 5. Was limited to only 15 minutes of ice time due to a lower body injury on a shot block. Pred nation will hold their breathe on this one.

D. Legwand (A-) - He is still scoreless, but played a really solid two way game. Ended the night with a plus 2 and had 5 shots on goal. Also caused three turnovers. He is getting close to finally getting rid of the donut. On the faceoff circle he had a solid 55 percent.

J. Dumont (A) - Dumont has been money lately. 2 more assists tonight. Really lifting this team offensively on his shoulders with Weber.

P. Hornqvist (A) - Game winning goal. Great shot in the top corner with Auld down at the goal mouth. Took a shot to the back of the head for the effort, but those are the goals Trotz talks about the Preds need. Workman like goals.

C. Wilson (C) - Again his ice time was low this time under 10 minutes. This might be a sign when the Preds get healthy he will probably be sent to the AHL. 1 of only 2 Preds to finish the night with a minus (-1). Was solid of faceoffs going 5 for 6.

P. Rinne (A-) - Made the big saves when needed. Stopped 27 of 29. Another win for the big guy. Played the puck a little more often than normal. Did distrupt the Stars forecheck attack.

The Preds now at 500 will start a 4 game road trip on the west coast and play their last road game of the trip in St Louis.

I was glad to see Smithson jump in and defend the cheap shot on Hornqvist after the goal. You never see Smitty get involved that way. Good sign for the Preds that this team is pulling together.

Upon further review it was Hammer that defended Hornqvist while Smithson stood up for Ward. Still, I love how this team is sticking up for one another.
