"Nashville Predators"
The Preds are playing good hockey and not even some bad breaks could knock this team off of its winning ways. The Preds topped the Blue Jackets 4 to 3 in a SO.

The first goal by the Blue Jackets was initially ruled no goal by the on ice official. After review the reversed the call. I have no clue how Toronto could have overturned the call. There is supposed to be indisputable evidence to overturn the call on the ice. Based on the replays the on ice call looked correct but somehow this play was overturned.

The second goal by the Blue Jackets was just 15 seconds after the Preds tied it up on a goal which bounced off of the Rinne's left leg from a bad angle and into the net.

The third was a horrible penalty by Belak (who didn't see the ice after the penalty) where he did a "cup check" on Jared Boll of the Jackets. The Jackets scored on the PP to make it a 3-3 game with just under 1 minute left in the third.

All of these times the Preds could have folded but they didn't. Something is different about this team. They are playing gritty, determined hockey. The type of hockey which leads to 5 game winning streaks.

Game Notables:

David Legwand (A) - 1 goal, 1 assist, 2 points, and was the only Pred was a plus on the night (+1). He also had 5 SOG and played over 21 minutes.

M. Erat (A-) - Good game by Erat. He didn't do his nightly pirouette on the ice. He had 1 goal, 1 assist and 2 SOG. He was strong on the puck as well as in the corners.

S. Weber (B) - The man racked up some minutes with over 27 minutes played. Led the Preds with 7 SOG and had 1 assist.

M. Santorelli (B) - The guy shows flashes with his speed and setup some chances but just can't bury it. One big plus though is his SO skills. He is now 3 for 3 on the SO making him an important person to keep up on the big squad. Each SO win will be an important point come April.

P. Rinne (B) - The man made some big saves and gave up 1 bad one. Again though this guy is clutch in the SO stopping 2 out of 3.

Next up for the Preds is the Detroit Red Wings on Monday. Remember the game time is at 6pm.

Until then.
