"Nashville Predators"
The Preds played another solid game against the Sharks and this time they were rewarded with two points.

The first period for the Preds had 14 shots, by 14 different players. A very odd stat. Really good game by the top line and Leggy's line.

The Preds were 2 for 4 on the powerplay. Without the PP scoring I have a feeling this would have gone to the Sharks.

One important thing to note was how hard the team was backchecking and forechecking. This was creating turnovers and scoring chances.

Game Notables:

Legwand/Ward/Smithson Line (A+) - Combined 7 points, plus 3, 3 goals and 4 assists. Each person on the line had a goal. They also had the tough task of shutting down the Thornton line.

Sullivan/Arnott/Dumont Line (B+) - Very close to A. They controlled the play most of the time they were on the ice. Good powerplay setup by Dumont to Sully. The one goal they gave up was to Thornton with the time almost gone at the end of the 2nd. That goal almost goes to the coaching staff for leaving them out on an extended shift.

Suter (A) - Had two assists and played strong all night long. Finished up even on the plus/minus and tallied 22 minutes.

Rinne (B) - Sharp when he had to be. Stopped 29 of 32. Left some big rebounds tonight, but nothing the Sharks capitalized on.

Next game on Thursday against the Devils. See you there.
