I think the Sharks' intensity level was just higher. San Jose was the better team and it showed. San Jose is deeper than ever before, and they are definitely a team to be feared in these playoffs.
Where Nashville lost this series, however, was with the penalties. San Jose's power play was lousy, but the penalties to Nashville just killed their momentum. Thats one thing you can't afford to give up in a series like this. The shot themselves in the foot.
In retrospect, the Forsberg deal looks bad, but Nashville had to try.
Nashville would have matched up better against the Flames. It's their own fault they didn't get this matchup, as they faltered down the stretch.
So where do they go from here?
