Flames Jeckyl and Hyde

Another win, and another siting of Jeckyl and Hyde. Giving up 2 late goals to make it close is not really my concern, I am sure the officials had bet the game over allowing 3 straight minors to the Flames. The concern is how come they let off the gas, this is a division rival and a team we fought to the last weekend for that title last season, step on the gas, choke the life out of these guys and run up the effen score.
I was very happy with the play of the energy unit Prust, Boyd and McGratton. It seems like every time they play the Canucks Kiprusoff robs one of the Sedin Sisters and he was true to that late in the 1st with a sick right pad save. Iggy has been struggling again, but there was good energy from the Glencross-Conroy-Iginla line. I am not sure about Olli Jokinen, he just seems out of place, except on the PP, he looks lost. Oilers beat Minny to stay close, Columbus on Tuesday....Go Flames Go !!!!!!!!!!

Iggy does look a step slower this year. Or is it just me? Your fourth line is unreal. I can't wait to play you guys again. Hopefully Souray will be back and can have a canoe ride with Iginla and same with McGratten and MacIntyre. Should be a good game. Nothing better than watching someone stick it to the CBA circumventing cheating Canucks again. Good game guys.

Iggy does this every year...and it's really frustrating. He starts off really slow and looking awful for the first part of the season, and then goes on a huge tear. While it's possible he's finally lost a step, it's just as likely that it's the same old, same old Iggy.

At least this year the Flames are winning games ealry on even if Iggy is starting slow again. Kipprusoff is much better than he has been in the past at the begining os seasons even if his GAA is very high.

A shorter breakdown though. Best game of the year by Dion and Regehr. They were a force out there. I thought that was our best game yet. Lets see what another couple fo practices and a day off does for the team. They looked to have turned a corner on Firday. I'm not worried about Iggy and Jokinen seems to be trying hard to work on his defensive side of the game.

Don't worry about Iggy. Slow start by the team, seems gone, slow start by Miikka, not this year. Iggy will come around, then look the F out.
