Mike Cammallari gets 6.7 over 2 years? Derek roy gets 8 over 2. 63 vs 80 pts per season. last year players were gettin truck loads of cash for there hard work and all of a sudden this year players get paid no where near what they were gettin paid last year. Danny Briere and Scott Gomez recieved 5 million and Briere did not even reach the 70 pt mark. Sure he had a pt a game and playoff expierence but one player does not cause his team to be a playoff conetnder or not. If thats the case then Sean Avery should have recieved closer to 3 then the 1.9 he was awarded. Yet again the NHL lacks in consistincy towards rulings on its part.

If anything, I think this can stop the "RFA signings will drive-up Arbitration rulings" crap. Cammy got low-balled pretty bad.

Heaven forbid a 25 year old guy has to suffer with 3.35 million a year. Boo hoo hoo. The point (in bold print apparently) is to prove you can maintain this level of play, then get whatever you desire on the open market. Hmmm...what a concept...maybe that's what they meant by 'restricted' free agent.

The whole point of Arbitration is decide what a player's worth is based on market-value. $3.1/$3.6 million is NOT market value for an 80 points center/right-wing right now. Especially when he was one of the VERY FEW plus players on a minus team.

It certainly is market value for a player 25 or under. Sorry, earn your stripes, then collect stupid 4.25 million offers. Maybe if your name is Corsby or Heatley you receive larger RFA contracts, but that's because these guys are already SUPERstars, not just the highest scoring forward on a certain team.
