Versus doesn't show National Anthem in Chicago?

Versus dropped the ball last night missing the National Anthem in Chicago. They interview Sharp before the game and he says he can't wait for the anthem, then they don't show it. Get with it Versus. I mean, its no Wayne Messmer from '91 All Star Game, (see below) but still, they should have showed it.

listened to hawks feed and they certainly broadcast the anthem...the crowd was very impressive. vs definitely should have showed it.
Messmer is strait old school! He's pretty tough also - was shot in the throat and survived. Bring him back for next game.I don't get it either. During the Winter Classic anthem I think I went deaf for a few minutes, it's insane how loud Chicago fans are! (i realize the games aren't played at Wrigley, but I still get chills reminiscing)Go Hawks.
Michael, Nice insight. It's even better when Cornelison does both O Canada and The Star Spangled. Pre-game multi-media show is pretty awesome too. For a cavernous, sterile, multi-use arena, the UC is pretty awesome when it's filled up and there's good hockey on the ice. Mesmer will probably never be back due to some politics, but you never know. JJ
