1.) Tampa Bay - Steven Stamkos

It's a given that the lightning will be taking him.

2.) LA - Nikita Filatov

I can't see LA passing on a guy with his potential even with the Big 3, even 4 or 5 D-men that are available.

3.) Atlanta - Drew Doughty

Personally I think Bogosian is the best D-man in the draft, but Doughty is also extremely good and seems to be a bit bigger of a name.

4.) St. Louis - Zach Bogosian

St. Louis gets the exact guy they need on the back end. Very gritty but still has offensive abilities.

5.) NYI - Alex Pietrangelo

I also consider Alex better than Drew but due to missing the physical tests at the combine because of his health status that took him out of OHL playoffs, he might drop a bit. The Isles are forward heavy on the prospect front so they really need young D.

6.) Columbus - Tyler Myers

A bit of a surprise even for me to pick, but Columbus also needs D and I think they take the risk on the big man and hope he turns into a Chara type d-man.

7.) Toronto - Cody Hodgson

The leafs really need to start thinking about a new front line center. With Sundin aging, and possibly not returning and Wellwood not living up to expectations of leaf fans Hodgson could usher in the new era of a young leafs team.

8.) Phoenix - Colin Wilson

The Yotes may just take the best available player in Mikkel Boedker, put in my opinion they should grab another young center.

9.)Nashville - Mikkel Boedker

Nashville jumps all over Boedker at this pick.

10.) Vancouver - Kyle Beach

Vancouver selects Beach here. A decent size center with some skills.

11.) Chicago - Luke Schenn

Chicago would have loved getting Myers but will also be happy grabbing Schenn

12.) Anaheim - Zac Boychuk

Ducks take the best available player

13.) Buffalo - Luca Sbisa

With the loss of Campbell buffalo will look to grab an offensive minded d-man

14.) Carolina - Kirill Petrov

If Carolina does not take the best available they will take something they need which is a solid winger, and Petrov fits the bill.

15.) Nashville - Colten Teubert

Nashville takes another solid center.

16.) Boston - Michael DelZotto

Boston takes the best available player, who also fills a need for a good young D-man.

17.) Calgary - Mattias Tedenby

Calgary takes a good young forward.

18.) Ottawa - Thomas McCollum

Ottawa could use a new goalie in the system until they can figure out their goalie situation.

19.) Columbus - Colby Robak

With their second pick Columbus grabs Robak.

20.) NYR - Josh Bailey

Rangers take a Center at this spot as they are somewhat thing at C when it comes to prospects.

21.) NJ - Zac Dalpe

NJ should look to restock the center spot, and Dalpe will help there.

22.) Edmonton - Joe Colborne

Edmonton could use some youth at the wing so Colbourne works well for them.

23.) Washington - John Carlson

Washington does not have any glaring needs at prospects so they take the best available player.

24.) Minnesota - Greg Nemisz

Greg adds some physical play up front and could blossom into a solid NHL center.

25.) Montreal - Nicolas Deschamps

Habs grab small but skilled center.

26.) Buffalo - Jamie Arniel

27.) Philly - Chet Parker

Philly would benefit from a good young goalie prospect.

28.) LA - Jake Gardiner

They passed on D with their first pick so this pick is used to add a solid d-man.

29.) Atlanta - Viktor Tikhonov

Atlanta needs to add some scoring wingers and tikhonov will help.

30.) Detroit - Tyler Cuma

Detroit grabs a defensive prospect.

This is just my opinion on how things might go down or how I think teams should draft.
