The Time is Now

Alright, Sharks. The time has come to put Saturday's dull performance behind you and dig deep to keep the dream alive. It's times like these that the hockey world sees leaders emerge in the face of adversity and put their team on their back. Joe Thornton, Patrick Marleau - this means you. Joe, let's awake from the dream that told you to seek out the miracle play and put the puck on net. Your fans and teammates don't care if you have 5 assists in a 7-6 loss, they want the win. They want the dream of hoisting the Cup over their heads to remain a reality, and for guys like Bill Guerin, time isn't on their side. Go back to the basics; get the puck in deep, pressure the defense into mistakes and get your power plays. Detroit is hurting on defense (Schneider, Lebda, Kronwall) and killing penalties won't help the aging bodies. Your goaltender has been your MVP, and it's time to help him out and puts some goals on the board. Give 60 minutes of raw emotion and intelligent hockey, and we'll see you in Detroit for Game 7.
