The Leafs are in a rare situation in the NHL as most of the teams are going to loose money the Leafs are going to continue making money so if I were the Manager I would make the following moves that frankly I think Burke will.
First the UFAs that he will go after are the following:
H. Sedin, D. Sedin because Burke has a history and they are solid top 6 forward
Mike Camilleri because he will be a good fit in the top 6 especially PP.
Todd Bertuzzi can be had for 1 Million per annum and he would be a good 2nd line PP guy as well as bottom 6 forward.
Niedermyer brothers will fit nicely one as a top d man and the other as top 6 forward.
Jay Bomeister is young and can be had for the right price.
In order to make space some assets will have to be moved like Kabby, Kubina, probably at the draft for higher pics and prospects. Kabby and Kubina make about 10 million per season.
Out will be Poni, Stempniak, Blake, these three guys make about 10 million per annum.
Not out of the question would be to get Pronger and have him be the mentor to Schenn.
This team would have the Balls and the skill to do some damage in the play-offs and there is space to develop a core of young guys.
This is the begining of a solid culture of players and the mentorship to develop for years to come frankly on the Wings are doing this right now and they make it look like their pulling a rabbit out of their a$$. They the defending cup champions develop thier assets to an elite level.

This is a fantasy team... it is not possible to sign every decent free agent, believe it or not.
it'll never happen dude. Nor would i want burke to fill this team up with that many UFAs
