Round 2: Jets finish higher then both the Rangers and Flyers

Since my last post collected so much interest I thought I'd turn it up a notch and predict that my Jets finish in a better position in the East then both the Flyers and Rangers.
This is a pretty bold prediction to say the least and I'm going to back it up with some facts thoughts to why I believe the Jets will beat the Flyers and Rangers in the standings.
Philly:
- Coach Laviolette is and Idiot that managed to divide the team over a stupid drinking game that ultimately sent their two best players packing for future gambles. (Pronger most likely was behind this as well)
-Pronger is an aging slow version of what he used to be. There is a reason they dumped the puck to his side in the Olympics the guy isn't what he used to be. My prediction he's hurt most of the season.
-Bryzgalov is highly overrated and sucks in the playoffs.
-Philly is weaker down the Middle as a result of those trades.
Rangers:
- Richards is all over the place when it comes to production and history shows after he signs a big deal he usually sucks the year after.
-If the King goes down they are screwed. Weak depth at the goal tending position. Biron is horrible.
-Defense is less then desirable.
-Gaborik is a walking injury Callahan and Dubinsky cant handle the load of having to score all their goals.
-Torterella is an idiot
-They have Avery!
Why the Jets will prevail:
-We have one of the best young Goalies in the league backed up by Chris Mason who isn't to shabby himself. Depth at the goal-tending position.
-Evander Kane is going to be the next Igina look for him to produce 30 goals.
- We have Big Buff: This guys is a monster and can do it all he single handed beat the Canucks when he was with the hawks. Leading goalscorer of defenders and this will be his second season playing D on the team.
- Andrew Ladd is Going to surpass last years totals and is a great leader.
-Bryan Little is going to score 30
- Bogosian will have the best year in his short career and prove why he was drafted so high.
- New Coach Noel will shore up the team defense playing a more complete system then last season pushing the Jets to where they were at the beginning of last season.

Both coaches are idiots? Laviolette won a cup with a sub-par Carolina team. Torts won a cup with Tampa. Bryzgalov hasn't played well in the play offs with a Phoenix offense which sucked, and they definitely aren't weak down the middle. There's Giroux, then you have Briere who can play Centre.
And, I'd rather have Biron then Mason any day. Also, while Buff is a tank, Little and Ladd aren't legit scoring threats. Ladd is getting there, but Little is a 2nd-3rd line streaky goal scorer. And saying Kane will be the next Iginla is ridiculous. Just because he's the same skin colour doesn't mean he's a big powerforward. Not trying to hate dude because I hate when it happens to me, but come on.
While I might be able to respect your willingness to state the minority opinion I do think you need to better validate your position. Biron is horrible? He posted a 0.923 save % last year. Mason and Pavelec? 0.892 and 0.914 respectively. In fact I'd need to do a blog of my own on MYHB pointing out your each point I completely disagree with you on.

And just a few more points to add; You said the Jets will beat the Flyers in the standings, so what does that have to do with Bryzgalov's poor play off proformances?
performances.. hahaha. (accidently pressed post message) But anyways, if my memory serves me correctly, Dubs and Callahan tore the NHL up before Callahan broke his leg or his arm or whatever. And, Gabo played most the season this year, I think and posted decent numbers. I think.
Cally was on pace for 30 goals but missed because of injury. Dubi's production tailed off after fracturing a bone in his leg. Gabby played 60 games but never seemed to get it going consistently. He's played in 138 of a possible 164 regular season games. More importantly his injuries haven't been related to his previous groin issues.

Also, the year after he signed a huge extension, after Tampa won the cup, he posted 91 points. That's not sucking.

Callahan and Dubinsky were both hurt though Dubi played through his. If you check his splits it shows an extreme decrease in production after the All Star break and that's when it was announced he had a stress fracture in his leg.

Iginla and Kane play a very similar game it has nothing to do with skin color.
When was the last time Biron was a starter? The only guy saying he's awsome is a french guy from Montreal. Give me a break he has be useless now since he lost his starting job in Philly which was his only legit starting role Miller took over in Buffalo making him a career back up for years. I think he may have had 2 years as a started there.
hahaha i think your the idiot here. Jets are a decent team but they will finish in the 10 spot. Bryz carried a terrible team with no defence to the playoffs and is in the top 5 best goalies in the league, UNDERRATED. And the rangers are twice as good as the jets and will finish with 15 points more than the jets.
1) I'm not french, I am from Ontario. 2) Callahan had a break out year. When Ladd scores 59 points and all of a sudden he's messiah. 2) Kane will never be close to Iginla. Never. 4) You didn't notice I skipped 3. 5) When was the last time Johan Hedberg or Ty Conklin was a starter? Still both excellent goalies who play they're role magnificently. 6) Even if Briere gets hurt, they can put Schenn down the middle. Or JVR. Or they can trade.

Aside from a new coach (with some new systems) what exactly have the Jets done that would set themselves beyond what Atlanta did last year? Winnipeg got a hockey team and that's huge, but they don't have a good one, yet.

This blog is complete garbage. Please think before posting. Have you realized that the Jets' average team is going to go through one of the toughest travel schedule ever? I didn't agree trading Richards and Carter were good moves for this coming season, but to blame that on Laviolette? And I hope the Rangers flop, but they have improved on paper over last year, and were a much better team than Atlanta already.
We may have a bad travel schedule but other teams in the division will have to come here as well. It all works out in the end. Vancouver has one of the worst travel schedules yet they don't seem to have a problem. By the way Glen Sather is the worst GM in the league. He makes Milbury look competent

Buffalo has plenty of options to get under the cap, and have big money coming off the books next year as well. We will be fine. Biron started in Buffalo from Hasek-Miller, which was longer than two years. He is nowhere near horrible from a backup perspective and you put way too much stock in players like Bryan Little and Buff. The Jets are a borderline playoff contender and Philadelphia is a much, much better team than the Jets who have done nothing to improve this year.
