When asked to comment on his feelings towards the Oilers, Sullivan felt actions spoke louder then words! This one is dedicated to All Mighty Oil, who I promised I would post more pictures of my dog for.
Why don't we talk about injuries?
Oiler fans think that they don't get information about their injuries? Well, try being a Flames fan! They shut the doors on us all the time, and in fact, Morrison is no longer on the Flames injured page and yet they have not informed us of his return. Alex Tanguay is in a similar situation in that Tanguay was seen today in practice so it looks like he could be playing tonight. I thought Jay Feaster's comments on injuries were quite telling in a recent video posted on the Flames website. Feaster said "I wish we weren't talking about them. I wish we weren't writing about them. I wish you guys weren't in the locker room talking to players about them. I think its just a bunch of garbage. Every team in the NHL goes through it. And when you start talking about them and 'woah is me-ing' them, it becomes nothing more than a crutch." And to follow up he refused to talk about Alex Tanguay's injury. I guess in Calgary it's a don't ask don't tell policy. Here is what I wonder, do any of you think we have something to gain by not disclosing the injuries that we have? Will our rivals target our weakness?
Well if the Flames don't want to talk about injuries, I do! This year has been terrible for injuries. We have seen Carson (sent down to AHL), Giodano, Stajan, Hannan, Backlund, Babchuk, Smith, Karlsson, Tanguay, Moss, Morrison and now finally Glencross injured. Of those listed above Smith (high right ankle sprain), Karlsson (sprained right MCL), Moss (ankle) and Glencross (left knee) are still injured with reports that Glencross is looking to be out for the next 6-8 weeks. Now that the bad news is out of the bag, we get to the good news! Tanguay and Morrison look to be game time decisions for the match up. We could sure use some depth, and even more now that Glencross is out for awhile. The addition of both Tanguay and Morrison would be a welcome change!
Game-day Blog: Battle of Alberta
Yeeeehaaaaaaaaw it's time once again for the battle of Alberta, so hang on to your boots and let's go!
In the last few games Calgary has generated little to no offence, garnering only 4 goals in the last 4 games, and some how have come up with 5/8 points. Calgary looks to extend their win streak in the series to 4 and it would make it the 9th in a row (and 16 of the last 15). The funny thing about this game is no matter what the outcome, we know there will be one of these two classic responses from the Oil fans: Do you realize the injuries we have? You beat a crippled team with no stars! Big deal. And of course, if Edmonton wins they will female dog that Calgary is such a bad team and they need to blow it up.
Well boys, 14/15 wins means we are the better team now and probably next season too! So no excuses, we both have injures and we are both bad teams. It's just that one of us is worse than the other.
What to expect? Jarome Iginla has been looking like a beast as of late! In the last game, he was hitting hard and looking very driven. Mike Cammalleri is also looking quite good with 1 goal and 1 in the shoot out the other night. As I stated before, Jones is looking like a good acquisition, and we can expect more of the same. The Oilers will also be getting back Tayler Hall tonight, glad to see he is alright.
The lineup should look something like this tonight, update after the morning skate.
Forwards
Mike Cammalleri - Mikael Backlund - Jarome Iginla

huh? lol If you are asking if it is my picture indeed it is. That's my bulldog and I saved it for this special occasion. The battle of Alberta!
I HATE dogs in clothing
I can assure you two things, 1 no dogs were harmed in this photo and 2 Bulldogs are sensitive to cold temperatures and need it because of the short fur.
Fair enough, but I still hate dogs in clothes.Cool dog though (except the jersey)
Jeeze what fun is it to take a picture like that with no reaction lol good game tonight against a weaker team. Atleast that makes the road trip 5/6 points.
Pretty funny picture there
