"Flames coverage in Ontario"
Kingston, ON • Canada • 28 Years Old • Male

Thanks to those who have been reading my blogs the past two weeks, I am trying to help fill the void since we only have one official blogger for the Flames this year.

Due to this being an early game this will be a short blog. The Flames find themselves facing off against a rejuvenated Flordia team that has faired way better this year than any in recent memory. Any other season I would have though this to be a gimmie of a game but im not convinced this year.

Former Panthers Jokinen and Bouwmeester will be poised to return and exact some revenged on their former team.

Sarich is in.

Tonight the defense sees Cory Sarich back into the line up. I asked myself today if this is because we are going to try and move him (Pronger is out, they could use an extra body) or is this because of the less than stellar performance of Carson last night?

The lines tonight should look something like this

Forwards

1 - Glencross / Jokinen / Iginla
2 - Tanguay / Horkak / Bourque
3 - Comeau / Backlund / Stempniak
4 - Kostopolos / Stajan / Jackman

Defense

1 - Hannan / Smith
2 - Bouwmeester / Butler
3 - Brodie / Sarich

Goal

1 - Irving
2 - Kiprusoff

Irving in!

Tonight we finally get to see irving compete at the NHL level as this will be his first career game with the Flames. I know many of you are waiting with baited breath and all we can do is sit back relax and watch the man go to work. With the great play he has displayed this year at the AHL level I expect to see great things. Good luck tonight Irving

What are your thoughts?

Perhaps signs of a goaltender controversy of the backup variety.

Yeah dude, we will see once he has played a few games. But if he can play like that I could totally see him stealing the job. He gave us a great chance to win that game.
