I have been eating humble pie for over a year now for ripping Wang and the DiPietro deal. Remember, trend setters are often mocked...until their ideas become the norm. We ain't there yet, but I could see more 10 year deals handed out.

heres a quote i saw on another board about it, which i found to be true..."Limited downside for a rich team such as the Flyers. If he continues at this year's pace, he's fairly compensated. If he gets better, he's a bargain, especially given 12 years of inflation. If he stiffs, the Flyers pay him lots of money to skate with the Phantoms and they go sign someone better. The salary cap has solved nothing."
