A quick glimpse into how my brain works around the deadline ...
Last year at deadline day, before the Isles acquired Ryan Smyth, I had a dream the night before that they traded a first round pick to the Florida Panthers for some guy named George Walter (no, I don't know who he is either) and then went on to win the Stanley Cup.
Last night, or perhaps early this morning, I dreamt that Garth Snow pulled off another huge one, sending Ruslan Fedotenko and Wade Dubielewicz to the Winnipeg Jets for Teemu Selanne.
Now he's no George Walter, of course, but a 1992-93 Selanne sure could make a difference!
Clearly, I need some help ...
I'll be around all day - mostly on the Tampa side of things - but around nonetheless.
Enjoy it, folks.
