I agree with Blues Blogger Matt Rainey about the Blues' season being unofficially over after losing in Phoenix tonight. The last three games killed them. When you lose to teams you ABSOLUTELY NEED TO BEAT if you want to get in the playoffs (Los Angeles = last in the west) and (Phoenix =team just in front of STL in the standings) the Blues dropped the ball here.

With a nine-game road trip upcoming, I just don't see them coming out of the trip still standing.

Although making the playoffs is grand, I just think the Blues would get embarrassed and possibly lose in four games, this is coming from someone who is a die-hard Blues fan who would love nothing more than for them to at least make the playoffs. But I just want what's right for the future of this team and I think we would take a large step forward if we are sellers on Tuesday at the deadline.

Next year though, there is no reason why the Blues should not make the playoffs. I think it's about time the Blues stop with the rebuilding tag and make the playoffs, instead of talking about it every year as one of their goals in the future.
