TSN is reporting that the Edmonton Oilers have signed Buffalo Sabre forward Thomas Vanek to a $50 million dollar 7-year offer sheet.
Looks like another example of the big market teams going crazy and taking advantage of the small market teams.

Kind of is....Edmonton for the last few years have been in the top 6 for revenue, and top 4 for actual profits....Now that the CANbuck is finally close to being the same as an american dollar, and the fact that by this time next year it will be worth more, we can now flaunt the money we've saved!!
