The rematch between the Caps and the Flyers will begin at 1pm today at the Wachovia Center. These two teams faced each other in a great 7 game series this past season, where the Flyers won game 7 in overtime on a Joffrey Lupul goal. I'll tell you what, you want to see an entertaining game, you got it right here. Alex Ovechkin and his crew come here to Philly to take on the Flyers. These two teams are starting to get a rivalry with each other, after that 7 game series last season. Obviously, the key to winning this game is containing OV. If you can contain OV, you have a pretty good chance to win. I think you'll see Mike Richards and Jeff Carter as the main guys going against OV defensively. For the Flyers, they need to get back on track today after losing to the Canadiens 5-2 on Thursday night. Obviously, the Flyers could have possibly won that game if they didn't miss the net so much, because Jaroslav Halak didn't do anything special. However, that's Thursday night, and the Flyers need to worry about winning today. Richie, Carts, and Simon Gagne need to get back on track and score a couple goals today. They got shutout on Thursday night, and it's one game, so I understand. They will get back on track today. Even though Brent Johnson, the starting goalie for the Caps, has played well lately, if you get the puck on net, you can beat him. The X-factor in this game is going to be Mike Richards and Jeff Carter against OV. I actually think that Jeff will be going against OV defensively at times this season. That tells you how much Jeff has improved defensively. My prediction is the Flyers winning 4-3 today. Jeff Carter scores a power play goal and an assist. Richie scores a shorthanded goal, and two assists. To top it off, Scott Hartnell will get a big goal, and possibly a fight. My extra prediction is Riley Cote vs. Donald Brashear dropping the gloves.
