Seeing Philadelphia come back to Vancouver is like seeing a old girlfriend you used to date in high school. At first you are like " Oh god !, there she is."

She always wants it to be the same as it used to be like, but it never is. Things change, people grow apart. That annoying laugh that I ignored because "Having a Girlfriend" in Highschool is just the thing to do, just isn't cutting it anymore. "It's been 6 years !! "

Oh well, It has been almost 6 years since Philadelphia have played in Vancouver, and based on their past history (13wins 3 loses) against the Canucks, I am sure the Flyers management are thinking this will be an easy win.

However both teams have changes deep within that I am expecting will make this game a good one. For one the Canucks no longer have the Bert/Naslund combination, right we are now smarter and faster with the Sedins. Long gone are the days of easy goals from the red line ( Cloutier ) replaced in the Canucks line up is the 2006 Hart Trophy Finalist Roberto Luongo. However the Flyers are not the team they used to be either. The days of intimidation with brute size and rough play are gone, time for the speed game. With players like Simon Gagne developing into a regular scoring threat, and young guys like Lupal, Carter and Richards in the wings to step it up. Not to mention the huge off-season accusation Daniel Briere who quietly became a top 10 forward in the league. The flyers have what it takes to compete.

Last season was not good for the Flyers, one of the worst in franchise history. Ironically last year was the best for the Canucks.

Are the Flyers better than last year ?

Can the Canucks repeat another franchise season ?

I am betting on the fact that The Canucks will be seeking revenge, and taking advantage of the Flyers on their last stop of the west coast swing, if not perhaps we can confuse them with our 12th alternative jersey alternating between periods.

Canucks 4
Flyers 1

For me, this is a very useful article. This will be extremely beneficial for my project idle mining empire.
