Oh my…something needs to happen

Let’s see what do I see wrong with the Flyers. Richards is a player that does not pass the puck. Carter is a player that does not pass the puck. Giroux is a player that passes the puck all the time. None of them are playing like NHL centers. NHL centers are unpredictable. The Flyers top 3 centers are playing a very predictable game on every shift. Richards is trying to out stickhandle every player on the ice. Carter tries to score every time he touches the puck by shooting – regardless of where his players are on the ice. Giroux tries to stickhandle and make the perfect pass on every shift.

Here is what needs to happen. As a group the Flyers have to announce that none of the players want to be considered for the Olympic team of their country. Everyone is playing individual hockey to rack up numbers for the Olympics.

This can happen in a simple way. Pronger should step up and suggest this. The most important goal for this season is to make the playoffs and winning the Stanley Cup – not the Olympics or the Winter Classic. I will bet that once the Olympic rosters are named officially, that the Flyers calm down and play the game as a team. I just hope it is not too late.

What makes you think any of them would be selected for the Olympics the way they are playing. You don't think the coaches of the Olympic teams don't see the level of teamwork they are playing with...they could have 50 points by now each and still not make the team

"Everyone is playing individual hockey to rack up numbers for the Olympics. "Is that what they're trying to do?The Flyers have scored 17 goals so far this month (10 games).

If they were trying to lock up Olympic berths, they'd play a lot better when Yzerman attended games. Two of the worst losses of the year came during games where Yzerman was scouting for Team Canada

This should be titled "Why The Olympics Are Killing The Flyers". It has nothing to do with the NHL as a whole.
