kinda a funny team, one game they look ok, then three games they look terrible. sutter needs to go and so do some oft he older players who still hold trade value. Let the official rebuild begin and trade, trade, trade.

That's actually not a bad trade habsteen. That Colorado pick may end up being very high and could net a good prospect.

Thank you Mr.Gretzky! I feel soooooo honoured! Back to being serious... I think its a great trade for both teams. Problem is, 1)This is not perfect world so it will never happen and 2)Washington isn't rumored to be one of the teams on Iggy's list.

Agree Habstein, that sounds like a good trade. Right now Iggy's list(or phantom list) is short but that may change by Feb.

I also like the idea of Iggy in Pittsburgh though. A Neal-Sid-Iginla line would be dominant, but I can't see Iginla going without Malkin leaving and Iginla alone isn't enough to pry Malkin from Pittsburgh. Maybe Iginla, Bourque and Sarich (apparently they want him off the books) for Malkin, Lovejoy and a conditional 1st, (if they win the Stanley Cup.)

Hahah fair enough, I just skimmed through most of this. I wonder how teams like Montreal and Vancouver could fit him in since they are rumored to be on his list. I know Calgary likes Raymond, but we'd also have to add in a salary like Booth or Ballard to make it even close to possible. Montreal has Gomez, but Sutter isn't the GM so no chance. Cammy perhaps?

I don't like your 2nd trade as much as the first habs. Iginla, Bourque, and Sarich wouldn't be close to enough for Malkin IMO.

I'm guessing it would take something like Hodgson, Raymond, Booth/Ballard(one), First for Iggy and maybe a decent depth d-man/winger depending on which of Ballard/Booth is involved.

Thats the thing though, I wasn't really sure what over paying would be since he has had a few ''off years'' in a row.

Also Nucker101, I know Iginla apparently wants to go there, but Calgary would be crazy to trade him within the conference, let alone the North West.

I agree, but apparently there are only 4-5 teams he's willing to accept a trade to so if Vancouver is on that list then Feaster has no choice but to seriously consider what Gillis has to offer him even if it's just to drive up the price for the other teams.

Don't think iginla goes to washington if he leave cgy he leaves for a shot at the cup. Wash is nowhere near being a legit cup contender at this point

OMG. listening to you people hurts. First of all, Iggy,Sarich,Bourque. is more than enough for the i can almost play a full season Malkin.Ans second. Habsteen do me a solid. take a long walk off a short cliff with this whole ( in a perfect world ) crap. Iggy WILL NEVER GO TO VAN.... EEEEEVER. and not in a million years would thet trade him within the division. So get your fcts straight. I actually signed up to this just so i could tell you how absurd you sound. Typical Habs fan.

Trade Iginla and Sarich to Washington for Johansson, Alzner and Colorado's first.

agreed with the title!! As for that trade, ever heard of a little thing called the salary cap???
