I'm a diehard Flames fan. I hate the Oilers. So who better to dissect the team from northern Alberta than their enemy?

That was a few moments of my life I will never get back. The Oilers have been bad however, unlike the Flames they have young talent and a future. The bridesmaids down south have and will continue to be a poor team with little future.
Oh a bright future but for the millionth time how can you keep them all ifthey all live up to the hype? You still need NHL defensemen and a real goalie and they don't come cheap. So your vaunted organization will need to part with some of the future you love to brag about to have a winning team, not just a team of 1st overall picks. im so glad reality came crashing back down because you all began to sound just like the Canuck fans...
Stick to your own team. You know the one that constantly finishes 9th and has a thin prospect pool.
flames have one of the worst futures in the NHL right now and would be lucky to be in Oilers situation IMO
I am sure if the Shames were missing their three best offensive players and their two best defenseman they probably wouldn't be winning many games either. But be happy with your 9th place finish or perhaps 8th place finish and sweep in the first round of the playoffs. It won't be long now and you will be the bottom feeder. Enjoy it while it lasts. ;)
Actually Alex Tanguay and Glencross (leading scorer) are both injured and our best defenseman GIO (or 2nd best depending on your opinion of JBO) were / are injured. In fact Calgary has logged more man hours lost then any team in the league this year. Not that I care either way just saying we know how it feels too this year more then any year in recent memory. Looking forward to the battle of Alberta!!
And its funny, you guys get so defensive when someone tries to tell it like it is. I never once said CGY is a great team, I actually said they toy with my emotions on many occasions but at least they are competitve year in a year out. I just would hate to cheer for a franchise that makes a concerted effort to lose hockey games, thats all
Message Posted I guess the truth hurts. In your case isn't that kind of like the kettle calling the pot black?
