Perhaps it's because I'm getting older, but it seems to me the Playoffs get better and better each year. Yet, in the United States... hockey is invisible. It's a scourge on our nation that must be eradicated.
Thankfully, I have a plan.
We all have those friends that are huge sports fans, but that don't follow hockey. These poor souls are the targets. This Saturday, get a bunch of guys together to watch a game -- not just your hockey-watchin' buddies, but get the all-sports-except-hockey guys too. Tell 'em there'll be beer and pizza, it won't be too hard. Doesn't matter which game, tho I suggest the NBC Penguins/Senators game. Make it a fun atmosphere -- act like you're at the game. Answer any questions, but don't treat them like idiots either. Just let them enjoy and take in what they see.
The speed, skill, and intensity of this game is infectious -- you already know that by your mere presence at this site. START INFECTING PEOPLE!!!
How did you get the background like this?
If you're familiar with CSS, you can use the Template Editor in your control panel.
No, I am not, an easy instructions?
I'm taking this plan to a whole new level... I'm actually creating new hockey fans. We'll have on more Blues fan by this time next week!
No offense, but if you aren't a programmer, you're going to have some difficulty... it's pretty complex and pretty cryptic...If you google "CSS reference", you may find some how-to's...
Luongo, just google CSS tutorial and start playing around with the template editor.
Louongo... accidnetally deleted your comment... but yeah, Sanford is only good against Vancouver...When Cooke isn't running him.... ;)
That IS an impressive background.
good job blues
Hockey is all over the fromt page of ESPN.com tonight.....Im quite amazed to tell you the truth.
Good idea Bluessy! Spread the word and convert the unwashed! ;)
The only way to grow hockey in the US is with grassroots. Until American kids grow up playing hockey the way they do in Canada, hockey will continue to be a fringe sport in the US, in spite of Bettman's vain and stupid efforts.
Ruutu, I somewhat disagree. Personally, I had never played the game. But you do make a good point.
