Stars Surprising Even the Biggest True Believers

The Stars are in a great place right now. With a win tomorrow night, they can drive a stake through the heart of the Shark faithful. (Or would that be a harpoon?) When Dallas beat the Ducks in the first two games of the first round, Anaheim knew they deserved it with their level of play. I'm not so sure San Jose can comfort themselves the same way. The Sharks played well and they played hard. Dallas just played harder. You can argue that the Stars were lucky to get the win in game 1, but there's no doubt who deserved to win last night. So apparently the best the Sharks can do now is tell themselves they played great on the road all season. Good for them. Whatever makes you sleep better at night, fellas.

I'm not calling for a sweep here, but San Jose is not coming back to win this one.
