Trade Likely to Come Soon

Posted 11:55 PM ET | Comments 4
I heard from a buddy of mine that Al, John and Larry were all at the practice on Friday and watching intently Eric Brewer, Jay McKee and Christian Backman.

I believe their are preliminary talks involving the Rangers, possibly about Jagr.

Besides that there are a few logical conclusions to suggest that a trade could be taking place soon. It revolves around the fact that the Blues have a ton of depth at the defensive postion. One would think(or hope), that as December approaches the Blues will get Jackman signed to an extension. It's likely he'll get about $3mil plus. This plaus the wealth of talent the Blues posses on defense makes it likely we'll soon see a trade.

I question where Jagr would fit in, unless Perron isn't going to play. I believe though with that sort of talent and the great attitude the kid posseses that he'll work his way into the line up consistently soon. It's hard to believe the Blues wouldn't want to roll out three balanced offensive lines.

So where does that leave us as far as possible trading partners and what we could be looking for? That's a good question.

In my mind unless it's a trade where you can't resist pulling the trigger(a la brad boyes), I would hope the Blues just continue to try and keep the cycle of young prospects into the organization through draft picks or great prospects.

ANybAnybody else have any ideas about possible trades?

I'm not making any deals right now. Time to just let things take shape for a while. The Blues are deep on defense and completely healthy at the forward positon but that never stays that way for long.

I'm of a similiar mind except they need to be open to deal a dman. they have the depth to fix any errors if they say traded a more vetran player and one of the rookies suddenly doesn't look good.
