DENVER — The Avs hosted their second home game of the season Tuesday night but couldn’t come away with a victory. They were beat by the Panthers 4-3 in overtime despite using a big second period to erase a two-goal deficit against a low-scoring Panthers team.
They didn’t start the game off as strong as they had imagined to. Especially after Coach Roy preached ‘urgency’ after practice on Monday.
“The message we had today is we need to play with urgency tomorrow,” said Roy. “It’s important to have a good start and play a good game and try to build on that.”
