Avs lose in a shootout in Carolina; out-shot again

Colorado was dominated once again in the shot category on Tuesday night in Carolina. The Hurricanes won 3-2 in the shootout and Calvin Pickard had to make 44 saves in his first NHL start in nearly three weeks.
The Avs were playing their second of a back-to-back and came away with a single point after losing in Washington last night. Nathan MacKinnon and Matt Duchene were both stopped in the shootout by Anton Khudobin. Victor Rask and Elias Lindholm both scored for the Hurricanes.
