The Avs lost their second consecutive game in overtime Thursday night after Blake Comeau scored the only goal of the game 2:24 into the overtime period. Calvin Pickard faced 48 shots and saved all but one in front of a rowdy crowd in Pittsburgh.
The Avs fought valiantly through 40 minutes exchanging shots and opportunities with the Penguins, however the home team took over in the third period and never looked back. Colorado was out-shot 24-7 in the third period and overtime including 5 shots in the short period before the goal from Comeau.
