Tonight may very well go down as the final meeting ever between two NHL greats—Patrick Roy and Martin Brodeur. With one of them a coach and the other nearing the end of his career as a player, Roy and Brodeur’s storied rivalry will go down as one of the best between two goaltenders in NHL history. Tonight, the player beat the coach as St. Louis toppled the Avs 3-0 behind Brodeur and his 16 saves. The goaltender was not tested much as the Blues shut down the Avs in a phenomenal defensive effort.
