There's nothing quite more satisfactory than scoring on the team that recently told you "We don't think you're quite worthy for this team, you're being put on waivers"

Mr. Kyle Wellwood got to feel this just a few hours ago when he lit the lamp against his former Toronto Maple Leafs, shoveling the puck past Vesa Toskala in the first period.

Quite frankly, I was one of the people who disagreed with Cliff Fletcher decided to split ways with Kyle Wellwood. He is a young player with still tremendous potential to be the number 1 center. Those who know me well may recall me saying, "this guy is gonna be the captain of the leafs after Mats"

I still don't understand why Cliff wanted to get rid of him. He was making around 1 million dollars which wasn't quite a risky investment. He might be on pace for about...what 30+ goals? Would've been a nice complement with Kulemin or a Hagman.

You must recall that Vancouver was trying to rid themselves of him as well by placing him on waivers once and then on re-entry. So it has taken 1 team to completely give up and another to send a clear message before it started to sink in. welly has a great talent, and I hope for his sake and the canucks he is rebounded for good.
