February was a month to remember for the Columbus Blue Jackets. The Blue Jackets went 7-3-3 in the month, and it may be their best month of the season, and their best record in one month under John Tortorella.
The Jackets have also seen Boone Jenner sign a two year extension with the team. He will be paid an average of $2.9 million dollars per season.
The Jackets got healthier this month by seeing the returns of David Clarkson, Jared Boll, and Curtis McElhinney. At the cost of the Blue Jackets, Rene Borque, Kerby Rychel, and Anton Forsberg were sent to the AHL. Speaking of the AHL, Manny Malhotra played his 25 games and is once again, a UFA. So much for my prediction of him signing with another team.
How do you thing the Jackets did this month? What do they need to improve on? Where will they finish at the end? More to come…
