The home stand continues for the Columbus Blue Jackets where they battle Detroit for the third and final time of the season. These teams have met each other three times (including tonight) in the previous four weeks.
The season series is tied at one game a piece. They first played on NBCSN where the Red Wings won in a shootout (2-1). In Columbus, the Jackets beat the Wings 5-3.
The lineups are different for both teams since they last met.
Tuesday, the Wings witnessed the debut of winger Anthony Mantha, drafted 20th overall by the Wings in 2013. In junior, Mantha led the CHL in goal scoring with 49. The Wings also lost Niklas Knrowall to a knee injury.
The Jackets lost Jack Johnson for the year with shoulder surgery. They are also without Dalton Prout who is serving a one game suspension for sucker punching Nikita Kucherov of the Tampa Bay Lightning.
The Jackets also made three surprising recalls, including Michael Chaput, Oliver Bjorkstrand, and John Ramage. Chaput was a Flyers draft pick that came to Columbus for Tom Sesito. Chaput leads the Jackets' AHL team (Lake Erie) in points with 37. Bjorkstrand is also in for the Jackets as coach John Tortorella is looking at the young prospects of the Columbus roster. Bjorkstrand was a 3rd round pick of Columbus in 2013. The Jackets got him and a lower valued second round pick in 2013 (Dillon Heatherington) for a higher valued 2013 2nd round pick (Tristan Jarry). Bjork is tied for second on the AHL farm team (with Josh Anderson) in goals with 15. John Ramage was a UFA the Jackets signed in the summer. The former Flame prospect is second on the Monsters in points for defensemen with 18.
Also, Brandon Dubinsky is on the wing tonight, and Boone Jenner is at center. Justin Falk is in for the injured Fedor Tyutin; and Ramage is in for Prout. Most importantly, Sergei Bobrovsky is healthy and gets the go again.

Players to Watch
Columbus: Bjork. Bjorkstrand is an amazingly talented forward that is getting his first big shot with the NHL club. He is fun to watch and is one of (if not) the top prospect in Columbus today.
Detroit: Mantha. Sticking with young and talented forwards, the Wings have one of their own in him.
Enjoy the games tonight. More to come…
