2-1 Jets after 40 minutes.
Fantastic chances for both teams in the period. Pavelec has been unbelievable. This must be that goaltender that I heard about in the early part of last season, holy smokes. This could easily be a 5-5 game if the teams had buried the plethora of chances they have gotten.
Refs pooched a goalie interference call (or should I say non-call) on Matt Cooke. Never should have been called a goal as Cooke pretty much knocked Pavelec right out of the way as the shot was coming in from the point. Not sure how they missed it but they did.
Hopefully it doesn't cost the Jets in the end. Great game so far. Crowd is going insane.
