The Jets head east tonight to take on the Leafs tonight in what should prove to be a bit of a barometer for the club. If they expect to be in the running for a playoff spot, Toronto is one of the clubs they will just have to find a way to beat.

The Newly Named G.S.T. Line

The line of Tanner Glass, Chris Thorburn, and Jim Slater has been dubbed by Winnipeg media as the G.S.T. line. This will not make sense to most American readers so to explain it, the G.S.T. (Goods ans Services Tax) is a 5% tax in Canada. The line has been dubbed this due to the fact they give 105% effort and dealing with them is just plain upsetting. I like it.

Evander Kane

Kane will be in the lineup again after missing the last game. I`m not sure where they will put him since I don`t think Noel will want to break up the second line of Burmistrov-Antropov-Wellwood since they have been the most dangerous line the Jets have put on the ice to date. My guess is he plays the wing on the 3rd line with Scheifele and Maclean.

Ron Hainsey

Ron Hainsey looks to be out of the lineup tonight and it looks like Winnipeg-native Derek Meech will get the nod to start his first game of the season. Hainsey`s injury is listed as an upper-body injury and no return date has been reported as of yet. Too bad, as Hainsey has been the Jets best defender this season.

Tonight`s matchup marks the beginning of an Eastern Conference swing for the team that will see them play nine of their next 11 games on the road.
