"When will the Bruins return to the Glory Days?"
Bridgeport, CT • United States • 41 Years Old • Male
When the Habs put the Caps to bed just a few weeks ago, all the prognosticators dusted themselves off with Round 2 predictions. Surely the Habs couldn't do the same to the defending champs. In the end Sid the Kid and Company would prevail...Right?

The other prediction was that the B's and Flyers would surely go the distance as so little seperated the two teams...Well, they got half right!!!
Just as surprised as everyone else when the B's jumped out to a 3-0 series lead, I had told people that so little separated the two teams in the first three games that it just as easily could have gone the other way and the Bruins down 0-3. That was the next three games as the tale of two series has come down to a one and down.
Like JC said, could the B's break our hearts again? As recent history shows what surely hasn't been 7th Heaven for the Bruins in a long long time!!!

The Bruins know what they have to do. They have to put the Flyers in the same exact position that they were in moments after Scott Walker's OT goal last spring. Wondering what could've been? A Dream season ends bitterly, one win short!!! It would sting the Flyers for sure wondering what if they had pulled off the unthinkable in our modern day NHL, winning four straight after dropping the first three.

Like JC said, the Bruins need to play with urgency, play like their down 1-3 in the series. I'm sure both teams realize they're both on the fence tonight...both facing elimination for the first time in the series. But while the Bruins play for much of the last two games looked uninspired and out of sync, tonight they need to regain that never say die attitude that they showed Carolina last season. Or in the Buffalo series with all the games being decided late, when the character of this team appeared to be in full bloom!!!

The PP needs to be effective or near deadly. They need to take the physicality out of the Flyers. They need to pepper Micheal Leighton with shots from every conceivable angle with traffic in front, preferably Milan Lucic! They need Tuuka to look like Ken Dryden or Patrick Roy and steal a game( Boston should have the edge in Goaltending and they haven't IMHO). They need the fans to stay loud and boisterous. They need to cover Simon Gagne and Daniel Briere in front of the crease. Chara needs to play like a former Norris Trophy winner. Bergeron needs a tremendous two way effort. Ryder and Wheeler need to play like it was last February. The two Marks need to be on the Mark in Recchi and Stuart. Dennis Wideman needs to play with both hands on his stick and for said stick to not look like composite noodle everytime to he takes a shot!!!
The penalty killing just needs to be itself. And the fourth line needs to bang and be a plus at the end of the night.

Is that too much to happen? I don't know, but I'll tell you what...if Boston loses tonight, we may be hearing this for a long long time. Just ask Red Sox fans how sick and tired they were of hearing "1918"???

Lets Go B's!!!
