When did Carbonneau become such an angel? Regardless of the situation when you hit someone from behind even if it's from taunting or anything else its a cowardly act. There is always the next shift that you can legally hit the person. Plus, do you really think the league would actually suspend a player because of that? I never even gave it a second thought.
Remember The Canadiens are the last team from Canada in the playoffs.
Have teams in the playoffs from big market cities, only helps the league.

i just think it's ridiculous to try and justify a sucker punch. Second, to bring up the beginning of the season is just useless at this point. I love how we're magically the only ones that got suspensions or something. Plenty of other players were suspended. Laraque pulled the same shit all season and he might have been suspended ONCE. Plenty of players have done the same thing all season but we've taken the heat from other teams and from the good old comissioner. We paid the price, end of story. Plus sucker punching our best defensman after we score a goal is just pathetic. It's one game that they lost. I'd hate to see who they're going to try and injure this time.
You know someone is going to take a run at Tom (legal, hopefully) and make him pay for what he did. The Flyers don't let that stuff slide. And you know how much it would fire up the crowd, even just a big hit on him. I'm looking at you, Hatcher.
What you saw was actually a ventriloquist's dummy made up to look like Carbonneau.....it was actually Patrick Roy talking
Ahh, c'mon it wasn't that much of a "punch" and Timmo himself said he probably shouldn't have been in taunt mode. Flyers will win by sticking to the hockey they've been playing. If they get into their "we'll get you" crap they'll lose.
