When watching a game on Versus you can't help but notice that the two guys in the booth talk about everything but what's happeneing on the ice. Why? Are we spoiled by great play by play guys like Jeanerette and Cole? Are the VS guys not supposed to call the game? What gives?

From day one I have never been a fan of the Versus network. I remember right after the lockout the first game that was on was the Rangers/Flyers game. Man was I pumped up. Versus dropped the ball last night missing the National Anthem in Chicago. They interview Sharp before the game and he says he can't wait for the anthem, then they don't show it. Get with it Versus. I mean, its no Wayne Messmer from '91 All Star Game, (see below) but still, they should have showed it.
