Very sad news for Eklund today and I really feel his loss being a pet owner and having lost a few to cancer and old age. Reading through the posts most were very nice and then some were pretty mean spirited. Its kind of sad that we live in a world where someone would rather take time to post something negative then to say sorry for your lost.
As I was reading some of the posts one of them hit me. "But doggie heaven must be cool, or he'll be reincarnated as a Centre with a wicked slapshot!" posted by davecox69. This made me think about a few of my pets. So here goes.
Pellinore the cat: He would have been a veteran player that was never the superstar of the team but defiantly someone who brought the whole team up. He would have known the right thing to say at the right time.
Hazzard the dog: She would have been a stay at home defenseman. Very sturdy pretty quick but wasn't the type to go over to the other side as protecting home was job one.
Cali the dog: She would have been one of those players that could be considered dirty. If you are on her team you are mostly ok but the other teams would have to look out. This one could have become a problem in the locker room.
Smokey the cat: This guy would be a power forward with a bit of an edge to his game. He would come in strong score and then likely punch someone.
Sorry if some of you feel this is one goofy post but I'm sure someone out there will enjoy it, at least one person (if I get my wife to read it then defiantly 1).
I don't think it's goofy. My cat plays hockey all of the time. (Except he uses beer bottle caps for pucks!)
I didn't bother reading the comments because I knew that the idiot contingent would definitely be represented, and quite frankly, those people make me sick. My cats could only play hockey if they allowed hand passes in every zone.
Would it be a hand pass with they have paws? :) I was acctually some what impressed that the negative comments were less than I expected.
Nikita the cat would be on the crash line. Banging bodies and causing trouble. Marnie the Irish Wolfhound would have been the ultimate power center. She was big, strong, fast, and played the game hard
my dog oreo would be a left wing :)
Ryman, I think we all needed a little comic relief. Thanks for the post.
Burt is ofcourse a Goalie!
