Keep in mind thats his second offense of the year. I think 10 games if its less ill be disapointed but not shocked because the league is so hypocritical its not even funny. This coming from a die-hard pens fan and a matt cooke fan!

Also would be nice to see mario fork over somewhere between $250.,000-$500,000 and lead by example of why owners should be fined for these type of htis also.

I don't see how it can be less than 10 games. He has a BIG history and the NHL is SUPPOSED to have taken a better stand on this in the last week.

10 would be good. Wouldn't it be funny if Cooke's hit got the league to change the rules? I'll bet Mario would be happy to pay the fine if it got the rules changed. BTW...before that play, Cooke had a run of games where he played well...and pretty clean. That play was STUPID...undefendable...I'm pretty sure he's not worth the cost anymore...

I beg to differ icedog on that last part. He plays excellent on the pk and is a decent hockey player between his bonehead plays. You have to understand if he doesnt play for us then those bonehead plays could be against crosby or geno. Risk far outweighs reward in my oppinion.

3rd line grinder and that can play anywhere in the lineup. Excellent penalty killer who is a huge part of the reason their pk is ranked #1. Agitator that lures the other team into penalty's. And lastly he creates space on the ice for his linemates.
Forever.

8-10, maybe more if you look at what Gillies got for something that is less severe in comparison.

Switch thats reward outweighs risk.
