The National Hockey League, in conjuction with CBC television would like to remind the Vancouver Canucks that Game 2 will begin at approximately 6:00pm local time.
To be honest with you, I don't think that the Canucks got this memo. 24 seconds into the first period of play the Canucks left Jeff Halpern alone beside the net and he did what every professional hockey player dreams of doing, chipped the puck passed Roberto Luongo for the early lead. The Canucks then decided that they would let the Stars control the game (yet again) as they waited for the clock to strike 7:00pm (the usual start time).
Game 2 was a huge turning point in this series, the Canucks had the chance to bury the Stars by coming out and playing hard from the moment the referee dropped the puck. Heading in to game three in big D the Canucks will have to stop this trend of being dominated by Stars. If the Stars continue to handle the play, and the Canucks continue to take penalties then the series will return from Dallas with the Stars up 3 - 1.
