This is going to be one interesting series. The Flyers are a pretty hot team, right now. Then, you factor in the rivalry between the Pens and Flyers, which will likely elevate both teams, and it is going to get interesting. Biron has been solid in goal and he is not at revered as Lundqvist, but he is someone to pay attention to. Biron has a lot to prove and Fleury has been constantly been proving himself. This is going to be a tough series. Max Talbot is expected to be able to play in the series, though it is uncertain when. My guess would be game one, but that is only a guess on a hunch. Having home ice is going to be a key factor in this series. The Pens need to have the four at home. I hope it doesn't go that long, but this is one series where being at home is key. Let's Go Pens!!!!!
Biron is not Lundqvist. But our team is much more skilled, much faster, and can put the puck in the net better then New York. We'll see, should be a great series like you said.
This will be a physical battle and skill battle at the same time. The team that takes the most dumb penalties will be punished with the skill players on both teams. Here is to nobody getting injured and lets watch the best hockey of the year between these two incredibly talented and hot teams! Go Flyers!
i dont think biron has anything left to prove. if anything i think fleury has more to prove since he is "the" goaltender for the penguins for next yr and on and on and marty is eventually on the outs. i think that if its a short series it'll b the pens going to the final but if it goes the distance the flyers will continue their "cinderella" story. i'm really hoping for a flyers-stars finals. but i wont be upset if its the pens who win, as long as detroit doesnt win lol here goes to another week of heart attacks and panic infront of the tv.
Philly is a great club but, Pittsburgh is too tuff to defend 5 on 7 the way Malkin passes to Fraser and then Fraser shoots and scores. Man those reffs can play, but they do miss a lot of plays. Especially when it involves a stick to Drurys face. F the Penns and their offsides goal. KILL EM PHILLY!
Holy cow, Mess. Cry me a river. Bitter much?
Sure he's bitter. Check out Danny Tolensky's picture from yesterday "A Picture Is Worth a Thousand Words". The Pens had 8 (?!) skaters on the ice with a linesman watching, and no call. Not that the Pens have been the only beneficiary, but that picture makes the officiating look rather lame.
