Time To Move On

When GM Mike Gillis was hired not more than two months ago, I felt a sigh of relif. Not a lot of Canuck fans have filled the bandwagon here on the left coast, however, Gillis promised "bold" moves and yesterday he delivered a "bold" move.

WOW a GM in Vancouver sticking to his guns. For several years here we constantly heard "we were close"; "we almost had him" or "the market is too expensive". Yesterday, Gillis proved that he wanted Mats Sundin and he wasn't going to let anyone else get the upper hand on him.


HOWEVER!

Its time to move on, don't wait for Sundin to make his decision. You made your best offer and I highly respect you for doing so, but it is now time to move on.

Bring in Demitra.

Enough said.

Bring in Demitra to play center, and stick a couple kids with him.Raymond-Demitra-GrabnerCanucks should suck just enough to have a shot at Tavares.

vancouver is my second fav team behind the sabres, has been for about 15 years now, but i have mixed feelings about this. in one sense i feel like waiting for sundin to decide, but on the other, if he really wanted to be a canuck he would have signed by now. so overall i agree with you. sign demitra and let's all move on. if gillis waits and sundin decides not to came to van - which there's a good chance of happening - that would be disastrous...can't get the time back either.

Demitra? And Play him with who big waist of time and money. The Guy is made of glass, he's always hurt. If we're to turn away from Sundin I seriously believe we should reunite the West Coast Express, if their up to it. Than if Sundin decides he wants to be here We trade Mo. Plus Showing Sundin He would have Naslund and Bertuzzi to play with, it may make the deal a little sweeter... Not that is needs to look any sweeter.

You talk about Demitra being made of glass???....And I ask you how many concusions has Bertuzzi had since he left Vancouver? And Morrison has had how many surgeries the past few seasons? And I think I might slit my throat the next time I hear one of Nazzy's riviting post game interviews. HOWEVER!I do look at the prospect of Bertuzzi Naslund

How about a bold move of trading Bieksa to the Sharks for some offensive talent? What would Canucks fans think?

You mean like Thornton? That would be bold of the Sharks.
