This is my belief. The preds will get back on track and it starts tonight. Deep down it’s what I have to believe as a fan. As I have started trying to take this blog thing more seriously (thanks Ek for encouraging it) I find myself torn between reporting the story as a journalist or as a fan. Today I come down on the side of the fan...an unhappy fan looking for something positive.
Predators - 4
Ducks - 2
How I see it. The Preds will come out strong but will actually again give up the first goal. This time however they fight back and at the end of one are up 2-1. Goals by de Vries and Erat will get the Preds going early. Mason will look solid and will be the Mason of the first two games instead of the guy getting yanked.
The Preds will pull away 3-1 and never look like they are not in control. A couple of late goals and it ends up 4-2.
Things to look for tonight:
Mason’s play early: It will be key to the Preds success. Is he seeing the puck well? Is he getting from post to post fast? How is confidence?
Pred Turnovers: The Preds have been killed by their own sloppy play. Will the intense Sunday practice that Trotz called yield his desired results?
Chemistry: What lines will Trotzy role and how will they look? Will they have the chemistry mojo going?
Let's go Preds...take a nap it's a late face-off!
Oh and before I go...let me
Crotch Bang those Mason haters again. Seriously people you need to give it up. He is the man and the one that we will, over the course of this season, put this team on his shoulders and single handily win games.
Here's to anyone on the Ducks who Crotch-Bang that coward 22
i disagree on coward 22 but funny anyway
Heaven help 'em if they do anything of the sort to Tootoo, lol
0-1 at end of 1st. So much for predictions!
He did say that Anaheim would score the first goal, right? Ah well it was a much better played game than before. I don't mind (as much) losing like that as I do losing like we did against Phoenix, Calgary, and St. Louis. I will say, though, that if Mason can't do anything more than stare at a break-away, even I'm going to begin doubting. We can't have that when we get into a shoot-out situation.
